ROCHESTER, NY – Three members of the RIT men's basketball team were named to the 2017 Liberty League Men's Basketball All-Conference Team as selected by the coaches and announced on Tuesday, Feb. 28. AJ Horde (Oak Park, MI/University of Detroit Jesuit) was a second team selection. Troy Pierre-Louis (Providence, RI/Berkshire School) was a honorable mention selection, and Robert Aguilera (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) was named to the All-Rookie team.

Horde, a 2015-16 All-Liberty League First Team selection, led RIT and was fifth in the league in scoring, averaging 18.8 points per game in 24 contests. He led the Liberty League, averaging 2.8 made 3-pointers per game, and was second in the league, averaging 4.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game. Horde became the 22nd player in program history to score 1,000 career points on Dec. 1 versus SUNY Polytechnic.  He scored 20 or more points 12 times, including a season-high 38 points versus Hobart.

Pieree-Louis had a breakout season in 2016-17. The junior co-captain was second on the team and 14th in the Liberty League in scoring, averaging a career-high 13.8 points per game in 23 games. He scored a career-high 32 points at Union. Pierre-Louis shot 87.9 percent from the foul line, second highest in the Liberty League.

Aguilera finished third on the team in scoring, averaging 8.7 points per game. He recorded a Liberty League-best 48 blocks, averaging 2.8 per contest. He tallied season-high totals 15 points and seven blocks versus Clarkson on Feb. 3, and grabbed a season-best 14 rebounds at Vassar on Jan. 6.

RIT finished 2016-17 with a 12-13 overall record.
