ROCHESTER, NY - RIT Athletics announced today that season ticket packages for the 2015-16 season, its second year at the Gene Polisseni Center, go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, July 22 at www.rithockey.com or by calling (585) 475-2516. Starting Tuesday, August 18, season and single-game tickets can also be purchased at the Gene Polisseni Center Office, online at www.rithockey.com, or by calling the box office at (585) 475-4121.

Current season ticket holders can currently purchase season tickets, while season seat packages for the RIT community go on sale Monday, July 20.

The Tigers begin their second season at the 4,300-seat Gene Polisseni Center, located on the south end of campus. Here is the complete 2015-16 RIT men's hockey schedule.

Season-ticket holders enjoy great benefits, including 10 percent off hockey merchandise at the SpiRIT store at the Gene Polisseni Center. Season ticket holders also receive exclusive invitations to "Skate with the Tigers", access to the annual season ticket holder kick-off event in mid-Sept., the ability to purchase tickets to playoff games prior to going on sale to the general public, priority status for purchasing 2016-17 season tickets, special deals, and promotions.

In addition, with the purchase of any men's season ticket, fans are eligible to purchase a RIT women's hockey season ticket package for just $20. The RIT women's program begins its fourth season at the Division I level and is the two-time defending College Hockey America Champions. The women's squad will play 20 games at the Gene Polisseni Center in 2015-16. Here is the complete 2015-16 RIT women's hockey schedule.

On Oct. 17, the RIT men will host Bowling Green State University at Blue Cross Arena, the focal point of RIT's Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend. RIT has drawn a sellout crowd of 10,556 fans for each of the last five Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend contests, selling out last year's game against Boston College one week in advance.

This will mark the second straight year that reserved seating is in effect for the Brick City Homecoming game at Blue Cross Arena. All tickets purchased will have a designated section, row, and seat number. Please plan appropriately, because tickets and seat arrangements will not be able to be refunded or changed once purchased. Tickets for that game go on sale August 19.

Fans will be able to purchase a full season ticket package with all 16 games played at the Gene Polisseni Center. Please note that the Brick City contest vs. Bowling Green at Blue Cross Arena on Oct. 17 is not included in the season ticket price for the season. Fans will be able to purchase separate Blue Cross Arena tickets in addition to their season ticket purchases.

Group rates are also available this season, starting August 18. To purchase group seating, please call (585) 475-3980 or email Jordan Steffan at Jordan.steffan@rit.edu. To receive the group discount, a minimum of 10 tickets must be purchased in advance.

The Tigers enter their 11th season at the NCAA Division I level. Last season, RIT won its second Atlantic Hockey Conference Championship, and made its second trip to the NCAA Division I Tournament, advancing to the Midwest Regional final. RIT finished with a 20-15-5 record in 2014-15.
