ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT men's hockey teams heads east over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend to play a single, non-conference contest at No. 2 Boston College from Conte Forum on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 4 p.m.

The Tigers were off last weekend, but come into the Boston College contest looking to get back on the right track after dropping a pair of games at home to Bentley University on Nov. 13-14 by identical 3-2 scores, both in overtime. RIT fired a combined 96 shots in the two games and has fired 277 shots on goal over its last seven contests (39.6 per game)

RIT (3-6-2, 3-2-1 AHC) has received balanced scoring this season, with 13 players recording at least four points. The defensive unit has stepped offensively, combining to score 10 goals over the last eight games. Sophomore Mark Golberg (Ottawa, Ontario/Cumberland Grads) leads the team in scoring with 11 points on two goals and nine assists, while Greg Amlong (O'Fallon, MO/UMass Lowell) has five goals to pace the squad. Josh Mitchell (Osoyoos, British Columbia/Alberni Valley Bulldogs) has six points over his last five games and is tied for seventh all-time in RIT's Division I era with 66 career assists.

Boston College (11-1-0, 5-0-0 Hockey East) enters Saturday's game having won 10 straight games and has outscored its opponents, 53-14 this season. Colin White leads the team in scoring with 20 points on seven goals and 13 assists, while Ryan Fitzgerald has a team-best eight goals. Nine players have at least nine points. In goal, Thatcher Demko has been incredible, with an 11-1 record, 1.17 goals against average and a. 956 save percentage to go along with six shutouts, which leads all of Division I. The Eagles have 12 NHL draft picks on the current roster.

It will be a reunion of sorts for Boston College head coach Jerry York, RIT head coach Wayne Wilson and associate head coach Brian Hills. York coached Wilson and Hills at Bowling Green State University in the early 1980s. Click here for an in depth feature on the trio in the Summer 2014 RIT University Magazine.

Boston College has won both previous meetings between the two schools. On Dec. 30, 2007, Boston College defeated RIT, 6-0 in the championship game of Minnesota's Dodge Holiday Classic. Boston College also earned a 6-2 win over the Tigers in last year's Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend game from Blue Cross Arena on Oct. 17, 2014.

Chris Lerch and Ed Trefzger will be on the call for WITR 89.7 FM. Fans can listen or watch online, or follow via live stats.
