ROCHESTER, NY –
In a battle of Tigers, the RIT women's hockey team goes on the road this weekend to play a pair of games against Princeton University of the ECAC and Ivy League. The two teams meet on Friday at 3 p.m. and close out the weekend series at 3 p.m. Saturday.

RIT (5-3-2, 0-1-1 CHA) went 0-1-1 last weekend, tying Lindenwood, 1-1 on Friday and falling by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. On Friday, Jess Paton (Woodstock, Ontario/Waterloo K-W Rangers) scored RIT's lone goal, while Ali Binnington (Oakville, Ontario/Mississauga Chiefs) made 26 saves. RIT had two goals called back, including one by Celeste Brown (Great Falls, MT/National Sports Academy) that was hit with a high stick with 14.5 seconds left in regulation. On Saturday, Lindsay Grigg (Oakville, Ontario/Oakville Hornets) scored RIT's goal, and Binnington made 26 saves in defeat.

The Tigers had their streak of allowing two or fewer goals in a game snapped at 18 on Saturday. Defensively, RIT is fifth nationally, allowing just 1.30 goals per game. Binnington is 17 saves and 30 minutes played shy of setting the school records in both categories.

Grigg, Kolbee McCrea (Wawa, Ontario/Burlington Barracudas), and Mackenzie Stone (Kars, Ontario/South Carleton) are tied for the team lead with six points apiece. Grigg and McCrea have a team-best four goals, while Stone leads the way with five assists.

Princeton enters the weekend with a 3-1-0 mark, having won three straight contests. Last weekend, the Tigers defeated Cornell by a score of 5-4 and Colgate, 4-2. Kelsey Koelzer leads the team in scoring with seven points on a goal and six assists. Molly Contini has a team-best four goals. Princeton is out-scoring its opponents, 14-9 this season. In goal, Kimberly Newell has appeared in all four contests with a 2.27 goals against average and .901 save percentage.

Princeton leads the all-time series between the two schools, 7-2-2. They have met once in RIT's Division I era, with Princeton pulling out a 2-1 win over the Tigers at Ritter Arena in 2012.

Both games will be aired live here and have live stats.
