TROY, NY – The RIT women's swimming and diving (0-1) team opened up the 2014-15 season by suffering a 185-106 dual meet loss at Rensselaer (1-0) on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore
Genevieve Senecal (Westfield, MA/Westfield) won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:19.48.
Colleen Manning (Farmingdale, NY/St. Anthony's) finished right behind her with a time of 2:25.36, followed by
Erika Bushey (Somers, CT/Somers) at 2:31.89.
RIT placed first and second for the 400-yard relay. The first place squad, consisting of
Kelsey Schaefer (Berea, OH/Berea), Senecal, Manning, and
Caitlin Foster (Bath, ME/Morse) finished with a time of 4:02.57. The next team of
Amy Zuccaro (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury), Rose Rustowiz,
Grace Morales (South Riding, VA/Freedom), and
Rachel Kobel (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen) came in at 4:03.35.
Natalie Snyder () took third place in the one-meter diving event scoring 200.25 points. Patience Hayes placed fourth in the three-meter with a score of 171.75.
The Tigers will be back in action this Wednesday, Oct. 22 vs. SUNY Oswego at 7 p.m. in Judson Pool.
