ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT women's swimming and diving team (4-6) handled Liberty League foe William Smith (6-4) in a 149-80 win on Tuesday afternoon. The meet opened with a thrilling 200-yard medley relay, where the Tigers just edged out the Herons by two hundredths of a second, and RIT never looked back.

Brenna Woodling#, #
Megan O'Connor#, #Genna Senecal# and #
Alex Timberlake# that won the opening relay with a time of 1:55.93. Hobart finished in a close second with a time of 1:55.95. Woodling would then go on to win the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.52. #
Colleen Manning# was a close second in the race finishing in 2:04.50.

Katie Baldwin# had a solid meet earning first place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle. Senecal went on to win two more races herself taking the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:18.49, and the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:17.54. In the diving it was all RIT as #
Sam Huselstein# took first place in the one meter dive with a score of 212.20 and the three meter dive with a score of 223.40. #
Lori Liebman# and #
Patsy Hayes# were next in line finishing in second and third respectively in both diving events.
It was an all around team effort in the win, as RIT had a first place finisher in 10 of the 13 events on the day.
The Tigers will stay home for a meet this upcoming Saturday, Jan. 25 with crosstown rival Rochester, with the meet set to begin at 1 p.m.
