ROCHESTER, NY -- The No. 24 RIT women's soccer team hosts a pair of Liberty League contests this weekend as part of a critical stretch of conference games. On Friday, the Tigers host No. 16 Skidmore College at 4 p.m. followed on Saturday, October 19 with a game versus Rensselaer at 2 p.m. Rensselaer plays No. 4 William Smith on Friday afternoon, while Skidmore travels to face the Herons on Saturday afternoon.
RIT enters this weekend riding a nine-game unbeaten streak, going 6-0-3 in that stretch. The Tigers are fourth in the Liberty League standings with a 3-0-1 conference record and 10 points.
The Tigers enter the weekend averaging 1.42 goals per game, which is tied for fourth among Liberty League teams. RIT has outscored its opponents 17-6 this season, ranking 19th in Division III, allowing just 0.50 goals per game.

Sierra Kiss (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit)#, this week's Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week, leads the team in scoring and goals with 14 points on seven goals respectively. Kiss has scored at least one goal in four straight games, including two last Saturday in a 3-2 win over St. Lawrence. #
Gwen Neuhaus (Woodbridge, VA/Potomac)# is second on the team in scoring with six points on two goals and two assists, while #
Elizabeth May (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) and
Anka Parzych (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) are tied for third on the team in scoring with five points apiece. (Sammamish, WA/Eastlake)Amanda Murray (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls)# has seen the bulk of the action in net for RIT. She is 7-1-1 on the season and is 23rd in Division III with a 0.52 goals against. Murray has six shut outs on the season and an .875 save percentage.
Skidmore comes into the weekend tied atop the Liberty League standings with William Smith with 4-0-0 conference marks. The Thoroughbreds are ranked 16th in this week's National Soccer College Coaches Association Division III poll, and are 9-0-2 overall.
The Thoroughbreds enter the week fourth in the league in scoring, averaging 1.55 goals per game. Skidmore has outscored their opponents 17-2, and are third in all of Division III allowing 0.175 goals per game.
Arena Manning leads Skidmore in scoring with nine points on four goals and an assist. Jen Wardyga, Emily Saliterman and Christine Bellotti are tied for second on the team in scoring with six points apiece. Saliterman and Bellotti each have three goals, while Wardyga has two goals and two assists on the season. Senior Gab Lawrence has played the majority of the minutes in net for Skidmore. She is fifth in the Division III with a 0.19 goals against average. She is fourth in the country with a .943 save percentage, posting a 9-0-2 record and eight shut outs.
Rensselaer comes into the weekend with an 8-3-1 overall record and are fifth in the Liberty League standings with a 3-1-0 conference record. The Engineers are second in the league in scoring, averaging 2.17 goals per game, and are fifth allowing 0.82 goals per game. RPI is 3-2-0 in their last five games, including a 3-0 win over Bard last Saturday.
Sara Rothschild leads Rensselaer in scoring with 12 points on six goals. Giana Abballe, Taylor Korytko and Cori Winslow are tied for second in scoring with nine points apiece. Abballe and Korytko each have four goals, while Winslow has three goals and three assists. Alex Scholz and Steph Vargas have split the majority of the time in net for the Engineers. Scholz has a 5-0-0 record with a 0.67 goals against average and a .840 save percentage. Vargas is 3-3-1 on the season with a 0.98 goals against average and a .625 save percentage.
RIT is 2-4-0 all time versus Skidmore and 4-4-2 versus Rensselaer. Last season, RIT defeated Skidmore 3-0 in Saratoga Springs, and lost 3-0 to Rensselaer, in Troy.
