ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT women's swimming and diving squad (3-1) trailed until the final event for the second straight meet, but finished first and third in the 400-yard freestyle relay to pull out a dramatic 118-117 win over St. Lawrence University (0-3) on Saturday afternoon at Judson Pool. The Tigers won five individual events plus the decisive relay on the afternoon.

Alex Timberlake (Churchville, NY/Churchville-Chili)#, and #
Rose Rustowicz (Cheektowaga, NY/Maryvale)# placed third to secure the team win for RIT.

Sam Huselstein (Olean, NY/Olean) swept both diving events for the Tigers. She opened by winning the 1-meter diving over teammate (Rockville, MD/Rockville)Katie Hardy ( Clarence, NY/Clarence)# in 206.30, then took the 3-meter event in 194.80.
Baldwin won a pair of individual events for the Tigers, setting the school record in the 50-meter freestyle, winning in a time of 24.49, breaking the previous record held by
Kristen Curtze (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) of 24.58 seconds. She took the 100-free by two seconds in 55.42 seconds.
Foster won the 200-free in 2:04.40. She was also second in the 1,000 free and 500-free.
The Tigers are back in action on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, as they host the 2012-13 Liberty League Championships at Judson Pool.
