ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT women's lacrosse team was defeated by SUNY Fredonia 18-7 in non-conference action on RIT's Turf Field Saturday afternoon. The Tigers fall to 1-5 on the season, while Fredonia improves to 7-0.

Shelby Vakiener (Fairport, NY/Fairport)# led the Tigers with three goals apiece. Lampson added a goal and two assists.
Amy Simon paced Fredonia with eight points on six goals and two assists. Karli Brinthaupt and Morgan McNamara each had three goals, and Rachel Reinis and Laura Culhane each had a pair of goals.
Casey Chiesa picked up the win for Fredonia making seven saves. #
Katelyn Crane (Palmyra, NY/Palmyra-Macedon) took the loss for RIT allowing 16 goals and making eight saves. (Westwood, MA/Westwood)Caitlin Conway (Landisville, PA/Hempfield)# played 17 minutes for the Tigers and made one save.
RIT returns to action on Tuesday, March 29 at 4 pm when the TIgers open Empire 8 conference play at Nazareth College.
