ALFRED, NY -- The RIT women's swimming and diving team (1-3) picked up its first dual meet win of the season, defeating host Alfred University, 140-87 on Thursday evening. The Tigers won both relay events and seven individual events on the evening.

Sam Huselstein (Olean, NY/Olean) won both the one-meter and three-meter diving events for the Tigers. She won the one-meter event over teammate (Fairless Hills, PA/Pennsbury)Nicky Rosenberg (Middleton, WI/Middleton)# with a score of 207.40, and took first place in the three-meter event with a final score of 192.66.

Mariah Lamb (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) and
Caitlin Foster (Bath, ME/Morse)# won the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:46.78 by just over five seconds. Foster also won the 500-yard freestyle by a little less than seven seconds in 5:42.88 and took the 1,000-freestyle by eight seconds in 11:42.56.

Molly Woods (Avon, CT/Avon)#, and Kate Baldwin took the 200-yard medley relay in a close finish, winning in a time of 1:58.09.
Baldwin and Lamb finished 1-2 in the 50-yard freestyle with Baldwin securing the winning time of 25.57 seconds. Harrison and Sirkis were first and second in the 200-individual medley, with Harrison winning in 2:23.76. Sirkis and Woods were the top two finishers in the 100-fly, with Sirkis winning in 1:02.47.
The Tigers are right back in action on Saturday, as they travel to Utica to face the Pioneers in a dual meet at 1 p.m.
