Women's swimming and diving falls to LeMoyne

SYRACUSE, NY -- The RIT women's swimming and diving team (3-6) fell to LeMoyne College 181-109 on Saturday afternoon.

The 200-yard medley relay team of Jenna Hoffman (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena), Taylor Whalen (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca), Molly Woods (Avon, CT/Avon), and Katie Baldwin (Phelps, NY/Midlakes) placed second with a time of 1:57.73. The 200-yard freestyle team of Brittany Schlunt (Santa Cruz, CA/Harbor), Sara Kucsan (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan ), Courtney Schwarting (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Lake ), and Katie Baldwin (Phelps, NY/Midlakes) won with a time of 1:46.08.

In the 1,000-yard freestyle, Jocelyn Bade (Gananda, NY/Gananda) and Brooke Van-Derpoel (Frederick, MD/Governor Thomas Johnson) earned second and third place with times of 11:42.55 and 12:12.43, respectively.

Whalen nabbed first place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:14.91. Schwarting won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:35.32.

The Tigers return to action on Wednesday with a home meet against William Smith that gets underway at 6 p.m.
