UTICA, NY -- The RIT (8-3, 3-1 E8) women's lacrosse team cruised to a 14-5 win over Utica College (3-5, 1-3 E8) in Empire 8 action on Saturday afternoon. Senior #
Eileen Hennigan (Liverpool, NY/Christian Brothers Academy)# tied the RIT all-time scoring record with her one goal this afternoon.
Hennigan tied Pinckney Templeton for most career points with 156. She is just four goals shy of breaking the RIT record for career goals also held by Templeton with 133. Hennigan has 130 for her career.
RIT scored eight times in the first half, including five straight to open the game. #

Tina Podrasky (Scranton, PA/Wyoming Seminary)#, Hennigan and #
Allyson Pisher (Holley, NY/Holley)# each scored for the Tigers as they built a 5-0 lead. Podrasky had two goals in that stretch.

Danielle Previ (Medford, NJ/Shawnee) scored a pair of goals late in the half and (Palmyra, NY/Palmyra-Macedon)Rebecca Lampson (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan Academy)# added another as RIT took an 8-3 lead into halftime.
The Tigers opened the second half in similar fashion to the first, scoring six straight goals to take a commanding 14-3 lead.
Vakiener scored three of her four goals in the second half, and Previ added another two as RIT cruised home for the victory.
The Tigers defense was stingy versus Utica, causing 19 turnovers. Vakiener led RIT with four caused turnovers and Megan Henricksen added three more.Freshman #
Katelyn Crane (Palmyra, NY/Palmyra-Macedon)# was outstanding in net for RIT allowing five goals and making eight saves.
