PHOENIX, AZ -
The RIT baseball team (2-3) picked up its second straight win on Friday, defeating The College of New Jersey by a score of 8-5 at the RussMatt Invitational.  RIT never trailed in the victory.

RIT jumped out to a 4-0 first inning lead.  St. John's rallied to tie the game at 4 in the third inning.  Back to back triples by Kreag Bradley (Victor, NY/Victor) and Ed Hughes (Jamesville, NY/Jamesville-Dewitt) in the top of the fourth inning gave RIT its lead back for good.

Sophomore hurler Brad Wright (Baldswinville, NY/C.W. Baker) earned the win, allowing just one in four innings of relief.  Joel Walker (Morrisville, VT/Peoples Academy) earned the start on the mound for RIT, allowing four runs over the first four innings.  Dornes earned his first career save, throwing a scoreless ninth inning.
