ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (0-5) women's basketball team was defeated by St. John Fisher College 68-46 in the consolation round of the 45th Annual Wendy's College Classic on Thursday night. The Tigers will face the College at Brockport in the seventh place game on Saturday, December 4 at 1 p.m. on the campus of Brockport.

RIT fell behind in the first half, trailing 37-19 at the break. The Tigers recoverd in the second half, shooting 10-of-30 from the floor, scoring 27 points.

The Tigers opened the half on a 9-0 run, cutting the Cardinals lead to 11 points on a bucket by #Brie Martin (Topsham, ME/Mt. Ararat)#. #Anne Wapshare (Blasdell, NY/Immaculata Academy)# had five of the Tigers nine points in the run.

That would be as close as the Tigers would get as St. John Fisher, now 2-4 on the season, slowly pulled away the remainder of the half.

RIT shot 26.6% from the floor, and were 10-of-23 from behind the arc.

Wapshare led RIT with 16 points. She was 6-of-11 from the floor and 4-of-8 from three-point land. #Leslie Havens (Wayland, NY/Wayland-Cohocton)# added 11 points, and #Courtney Tennant (Cortland, NY/Cortland)# chipped in with six points and nine rebounds.
