ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT men's hockey team hosts the Sacred Heart Pioneers in a pair of exciting post-Thanksgiving Atlantic Hockey Association contests at Ritter Arena on Friday, Nov. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 27. Both games will get underway at 7:05 p.m.
Both games are part of RIT's Youth Hockey weekend. Any youth hockey player in eighth grade or below who wears their jersey to either game gets in free.
The Tigers (4-6-1, 3-2-0 AHA) had their two-game winning streak snapped on Friday, falling to Niagara, 4-1 at Dwyer Arena.
Adam Mitchell (Crofton, MD/Baystate Breakers) scored RIT's lone goal, giving him five goals in five AHA contests this season. Michael Colavecchia extended his point-scoring streak to four games with an assist. He now has six points over his last four games.
The Tigers are 3-0 at Ritter Arena this season, and won nine straight at home dating back to last season.
Sacred Heart (1-8-3, 1-4-3 AHA) is riding a five-game winless streak into this weekend's contests. On Wednesday, they fell to No. 3 Yale, 5-1. David Berube and Eric Delong each lead the team with nine points. Patrick Knowlton has a team-high four goals. In goal, Steven Legatto has appeared in all 12 games, with a 4.60 goals against average, and .889 save percentage. The Pioneers have been outscored 61-25 this season.
This weekend's games are a rematch of the 2010 AHA Championship, in which RIT won, 6-1 at Blue Cross Arena.
Cameron Burt (Detroit, MI/) recorded a career-high five points in that game. Burt will be back in the lineup after missing the last four games due to injury. He has 18 points (4-14-18) in nine career games against the Pioneers.
RIT is 9-4-1 all-time against the Pioneers.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for RIT faculty, staff and alumni and $5 for students with ID. Fans can also buy special reserved seats in Section 100 for $12 (adults), $9 (faculty/staff/alumni) or $6 (students). Buying a reserved section ticket will guarantee you a seat for the game.
Both weekend games will be aired live on Time Warner Cable Sports channel 26 or 1026 for high definition subscribers, with Gene Battaglia and John Ditullio bringing you the action.
