Women's swimming and diving falls to St. Lawrence

ROCHESTER, NY -
The RIT women's swimming and diving team fell to 1-3 in 2010-11, falling to St. Lawrence, 136-96 in a single dual meet at Judson Pool on Saturday afternoon.  The Tigers won three individual and one relay event.

Kate Baldwin won a pair of events for the Tigers, winning the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.40 seconds, then took the 100-free in a time of 56.89 seconds.

Courtney Schwarting (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Lake ) was victorious in the 500-yard freestyle, winning by five seconds in a time of 5:36.52.  Schwarting was also second in the 200-free.

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Rachel Redfearn (Marshfield, MA/Sacred Heart), Melissa Harrison (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley), Schwarting, and Baldwin emerged victorious in a time of 1:45.92.

The Tigers return to action on December 3-5, when they host the Don Richards Memorial Tournament.
