FREDONIA, NY -- Sophomore midfielder Chelsea Shoemaker (Rochester, NY/Aquinas) scored a career-high two goals including the game-winner in overtime as the RIT (9-4-3) women's soccer team defeated SUNY Fredonia (8-10-0) 2-1 in non-conference action on Tuesday.

Shoemaker tied the score at 1-1- in the 65th minute. Freshman Alexa Martinez (Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel) lobbed in a pass at the top of the box that Shoemaker gathered, circled to her left and rifled a shot into the upper left corner.

In overtime, Shoemaker capitalized off a turnover by Fredonia in the midfield. She made a long run into the Fredonia penalty box and fired a shot that caromed off Meaghan Meszaros' hands and into the upper left corner for the win.
