KEUKA PARK, NY -- The RIT women's soccer team won its second straight game, defeating Keuka College (3-4-0) 1-0 in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon. Freshman Ashlene Potter (Rotterdam, NY/Schalmont) scored her first collegiate goal as RIT improves RIT to 2-3-3 on the season.
RIT dominated in all offensive categories, out-shooting the Storm 36-5. The Tigers took 11 corner kicks to none for Keuka.

Ashley Valenti (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) and a stout RIT defense posted their second straight shut-out. Valenti picked up her second win of the season, making just two saves. The Tigers defense has not allowed a goal since the first half of the St. Lawrence game 246:39 ago.

After a scoreless first half, Potter netted the eventual game-winner in the 69th minute. She scored on an assist from Chelsea Shoemaker (Rochester, NY/Aquinas). The assist was Shoemaker's team-leading third assist of the season.

RIT will host SUNY Oswego in non-conference action on Tuesday, September 29. Kick-off is at 4 pm.
