ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT women's lacrosse team beat SUNY Fredonia 12-6 in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon. The win is RIT's sixth in a rown, which continues the longest winning streak in program history. The victory improves the Tigers to 10-3 on the season while Fredonia falls to 7-4.
The Tigers out shot the Blue Devils 35-23 while each team won 18 ground balls. RIT was 22-of-25 on clearing attempts and went 1-for-5 on free position attempts.
#Nadia Pasicznyk (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia)# (East Grennbush, NY/Columbia) led RIT with three goals.
#Megan Henriksen (Silver Spring, MD/Our Lady of Good Counsel)# (Silver Spring, MD/Our Lady of Good Council) had a strong game, scoring two goals, tallying an assist, grabbing three ground balls and winning three draw controls.
#Ashley Pezze (Guilderland, NY/Guilderland)# (Guilderland, NY) and
#Eileen Hennigan (Liverpool, NY/Christian Brothers Academy)# (Liverpool, NY/CBA) each tallied two goals.
#Kelsey Evans (Carlisle, PA/Cumberland Valley)# (Carlisle, PA/Cumberland Valley) played an outstanding game in net for RIT. She made 13 saves and allowed six goals picking up her tenth win of the season.
#Cecilia Enestrom (Medicine Hat, Alberta/Medicine Hat-McCoy)# (Medicine Hat, AB/Medicine Hat-McCoy) had four caused turnovers and #
Jerica Young (Jay, NY/Northwood School)# (Jay, NY/Northwood School) had three caused turnovers and two ground balls.
#Kim Hunt (Brockport, NY/Brockport)# (Brockport, NY) gave RIT a 1-0 lead at 4:26 of the first half with an unassisted goal.
Pasicznyk made it 2-0 with her unassisted goal at 4:46 and Pisher scored on an assist from Henriksen at 10:37 making it 3-0 RIT.
Pezze completed the four-goal run with her first goal of the game at 14:46 giving the Tigers a 4-0 lead.
Fredonia finally scored with 3:31 remaining in the first half when Morgan McNamara tallied an unassisted goal.
Henriksen completed the scoring with 23 seconds remaining in the half, giving RIT a 5-1 lead at halftime.
The Blue Devils sandwiched a pair of goals between a Hennigan goal early in the second half t0 cut RIT's lead down to 6-2.

#Tina Podrasky (Scranton, PA/Wyoming Seminary)# (Scranton, PA/Wyoming Seminary) and Pasicznyk scored three straight goals for RIT, increasing their lead back to six goals.
The Blue Devils were able to pull to within four goals late in the second half. Amy Simon and Morgan McNamara scored consecutive goals for the Blue Devils, pulling Fredonia to with four at 9-5.
But, Pasicznyk ended the run and the rally with her third of the game, giving RIT a 10-5 lead.
Pezze and Hennigan rounded out the scoring for RIT, who won its 10th game of the season, most in program history.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, April 18 when they face Empire 8 rival Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. Game time is at 1 p.m.
