Matt George scored three runs and stole three bases for RIT on Wednesday

ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT baseball won their seventh straight game on Wednesday, defeating Medaille College 10-3 in non-conference action. The win improves RIT to 13-11 on the season.  Matt George (Walton, NY/Walton) (Walton, NY) scored three runs and stole three bases to lead RIT.

The Tigers scored runs in all but two innings, including four runs in the bottom of the third. The Tigers also got single runs in the first, second, fourth and fifth innings.

Raffaele Parisi (Rochester, NY/Aquinas) (Rochester, NY/Aquinas) led off the third with a walk. Matt Austin (Weedsport, NY/Weedsport) (Weedsport, NY) singled and John Robertson (Stafford, VA/Stafford) (Stafford, VA) walked, loading the bases for  Ryan Campbell (Brockport, NY/Brockport) (Brockport, NY).

Parisi scored on a passed ball by Medaile, giving RIT a 3-2 lead.  Austin and Robertson scored on a RBI single by Campbell, who advanced to third on the the throw home. He later stole third and scored on  a ground out by George, making it 6-2 RIT.

Ryan Tryt (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) led RIT, going 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. George went 2-for-4 with a RBI and three runs scored. Geoff Dornes (Landisville, PA/Hempfiled) (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield) went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a pair of walks and Matt Austin (Weedsport, NY/Weedsport) went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored.

Cory Langtry (Moravia, NY/Moravia) (Moravia, NY) picked up his fifth win of the season, going three innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out three. Jeff Bibbens (Weedsport, NY/Weedsport) (Weedsport, NY) got the start, going three innings, allowing two runs on three hits. Mike Marsillo (Scottsdale, AZ/Desert Mountain) (Scottsdale, AZ/Desert Mountain) went two innings of relief allowing no hits and two strike outs. Dornes pitched a perfect ninth inning.

The Tigers will face Stevens on Saturday and Sunday in Hoboken, New Jersey in Empire 8 action.
