ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT men's swimming and diving team fell in a contest with University of Rochester on Friday evening, with a final score of 163-126. The men took home six first-place finishes.
Senior
Phil Baudoin (Blacksburg, VA/Blacksburg) (Blacksburg, VA/Blacksburg) took first in the 100-yard butterfly, while junior
Casey Schneider (Grandville, MI/Grandville) (Grandville, MI/Grandville) placed first in the 50-yard freestyle. Sophomore
Frank Zelinger (Schwenksville, PA/The Hill School) (Schwenksville, PA/The Hill School) fared well in the 200-yard individual medley, finishing with a strong lead at 2:07.08.

Steve Rois (Amherst, NY/Amherst) (Amherst, NY/Amherst), senior
Brian Duffy (Clarence, NY/Clarence) (Clarence, NY/Clarence), junior Steve Janicki
(Pittsford, NY/McQuaid) and sophomore
Ryan Marchant (Norwich, NY/Norwich) (Norwich, NY/Norwich) marked a victory with a finishing time of 1:16.55.
The men dominated the diving, taking first and second in both the 1- and 3-meter categories. Sophomore
Evan Wendt (Norwich, NY/Norwich) (Norwich, NY/Norwich) stole first in each, finishing with 268.60 points in the 1-meter and 218.40 in the 3-meter. Right behind him was freshman
David Petko (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom), scoring 206.75 in the 1-meter and racking up 195 points in the 3-meter.
The men are back in action after the holidays as they host Utica at the Judson Pool on Saturday, January 10 at 1 p.m.
