Before RIT: Played four seasons for Maranacook Community High School … senior captain … earned first-team All-Kennebec Valley conference honors as a junior and senior … named to the second team as a sophomore … earned All-Maine Class B honors … also played varsity soccer.

Personal: Biotechnology and biochemistry major … born May 19, 1987, in Augusta, Maine … daughter of Joanne and Paul Bean.

Coach Buff says: “Shannon has excellent strength for a freshman. She is a very physical player with good hands. Shannon has a passion for the game and plays with a lot of intensity.”
