Biography

Career: Seventh in all-time team scoring with 798 points … fourth in rebounding (560), assists (214) and steals (155).

2005-06: Started all 24 games despite being hampered by nagging injuries all year … led RIT in rebounding (7.2 per game) and was second in scoring, averaging 10.9 points per contest … earned All-Empire 8 second-team honors for the third straight year … played 894 minutes, leading the team … scored a career-high 23 points on two occasions … shot 10-for-13 from the field en route to 23 points and had a personal-best six steals at SUNY Fredonia … scored 23 points and grabbed 11 boards at Alfred … averaged 13.1 points and 8.3 boards over the first 14 games … tied her career-high with 13 rebounds twice, against D’Youville and Elmira … second on team with 65 assists … led RIT with 44 steals … also paced the squad with 99 made field goals and 63 made free throws … named RIT Female Athlete of the Week, Jan. 23 … scored in double figures 13 times.

2004-05: Played in and started all 25 games … led Tigers in scoring (11.0 points per game) and rebounding (7.5 boards per contest) … named to the All-Empire 8 second team for the second straight season … scored the game-winning basket and shot 9-for-12 from the field, with a season-high 21 points and 12 rebounds against conference foe Nazareth… recorded five double-doubles … scored in double figures 17 times … dished out a season-high five assists versus Rochester … fifth in the conference in rebounding … played most minutes (890) and averaged 35.6 minutes played per game … finished second on the team in assists (62) and steals (52).

2003-04: Tremendous rookie season … only Tiger to play in and start all 25 games ... earned All-Empire 8 second-team honors … named Empire 8 Rookie of the Week three times … averaged 10.5 points, eight rebounds and 3.6 assists per contest … fourth in the conference in rebounding and sixth in assists … also recorded 59 steals, second-most on the team … opened the season by averaging 19.7 points and 12 rebounds in her first three games … scored a season-high 22 points versus Clarkson … snagged 13 rebounds against Potsdam and at Keuka … dished out eight assists in win at Utica.

Before RIT: Led W. T. Woodson to a Liberty District Championship … team captain … named to Liberty District All-Tournament Team.

Personal: Electrical engineering major … born June 10, 1985, in Alexandria, Va. … daughter of Aminata Toure and Abdoulaye Diallo.

Coach Buff says: “Rama does it all. She is our best defender and can play anywhere on the court. Rama has become a great leader and our go-to player. She should be at the top of many RIT career categories by the end of the year.”
