• Carlianna Judith Ewing is the daughter of Marci and Jeff Ewing.
• Born in Niskayuna, N.Y.
• Has one older sibling – Grace.
• Father played baseball at Babson College.
• Enjoys art, working out and reading in her spare time.
• Started playing softball at six years old with her dad.
• Lists her father has having the most influence on her athletic career – “I don’t know if I would have fallen in love with the game as much as I have if it hadn’t been for him. He taught me so many lessons about work ethic and has never once stopped believing in me.”
• Best advice received – “Stop overthinking and just play the game. Too many times we get lost in all the stress of sports and putting too much pressure on ourselves. The best moments come when we allow ourselves to have fun and trust that we can play the game we’ve been playing our whole lives.”
• Majoring in industrial design
