Biography

2006-07: Stay at home defenseman played in 29 games… tallied a career-best two goals and added three assists… finished plus-3… scored a first period goal in game one of a weekend series against Connecticut… tallied his second goal of the year and was a plus-2 in the season finale against Bentley… recorded assists against Canisius, Sacred Heart and American International… punishing hitter… had a season-high four shots against Canisius… cut his penalty minutes by a third from last season… won the RIT Green B. Williams award for second consecutive season… named to Empire 8 President’s List for maintaining a 3.75 grade-point average… named to Atlantic Hockey Association All-Academic team… awarded the RIT Tiger Power Den award… won the New York state title in the javelin.

2005-06: Appeared in 35 games… stalwart on RIT’s defense… tallied eight points on a goal and seven assists… seven assists was a career high… tough, physical defenseman who played a key role on the penalty-kill unit… second on the team with 63 penalty minutes… won the Green B. Williams award for academic excellence… named to Empire 8 President’s List for maintaining a 3.75 grade-point average… also earned All-American honors in the javelin at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships… set RIT record in the javelin.

2004-05: Emerged as one of the team’s steadiest defenseman… played in 23 games his rookie campaign… finished the season with a +12… had five assists… had 38 minutes in penalties… named to Empire 8 President’s List for maintaining a 3.75 grade-point average.

Before RIT: Played for the Newmarket Hurricanes of the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League (OPJHL)… scored two goals and had 10 assists his final season… played on the Midget AAA All-Star team… also competed in track and field in high school.
