2007-08: Appeared in 10 games ... made his collegiate debut in the season-opening 83-63 win over York (N.Y.) ... scored his first points to go along with three rebounds in a 92-69 win over Clarkson ... also made a field goal in a 68-48 win at Alfred ... named to the Empire 8 President’s List for maintaining a 3.75 grade-point average.

Before RIT: Played four years of varsity basketball at Perry High School for Head Coach Rodney Allen ... senior captain ... named to Livingston County “Super 18” exceptional senior team in 2007 ... named to Batavia Lions Club All-Tournament Team in 2006 and 2007 ... earned Section V Class CC All-Tournament Team honors in 2006 ... also played varsity soccer at Perry.

Coach McVean says: “Matt didn’t see much time last season, but is a solid performer who understands the game and does all of the little things well. He will play more at the 3 and is working on his ball-handling and perimeter shot.”
