2005-06: Played a vital role at the center position … shot 58.5 percent from the field, second best on the team … scored a season-high 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting in a double-overtime win over Nazareth … nabbed eight rebounds in each of his first two collegiate games, against Hobart and MCLA … scored seven points and blocked two shots in a win over Nazareth … made his first collegiate start against SUNY Geneseo.
Before RIT: Averaged 11 points and nine rebounds per game as a senior playing for Head Coach Don Catallier at Voorheesville … was named the Section II Tournament MVP as a senior … Colonial Council First-Team All-Star … named Voorheesville MVP as a junior.
Personal: Packaging science major … son of Deb and John Carson.
Coach McVean says: “Mark is working back into shape after an off-season knee surgery. He has very quick feet and is still learning about his ability. Mark is gaining confidence scoring inside and defensively.”
