2011-12: Earned second team All-Liberty League accolades… started all 25 games for the Tigers, scoring in double figures 23 times… led the team with 15.8 points per game, while shooting .427 from beyond the arc… grabbed a team-high 1.6 steals per contest… scored a season-high 29 points to go with three assists and seven rebounds in a 77-72 win over York… tore down 12 boards to go with 18 points and four assists in an 87-73 win over D’Youville… had six steals against Union… named Liberty League Athlete of the Week three times.

2010-11: Earned All-Empire 8 honorable mention accolades … started all 25 games … was second on the team averaging 14.4 points per game, ninth best in the Empire 8 … led the team and was eighth in the Empire 8 with 6.5 rebounds per game … shot 11-for-17 from the field en route to a career best 26 points in a 67-61 win over Alfred … recorded double-digit rebounds four times … grabbed 11 boards to go with 18 points in a 68-63 win over Elmira … had three double-doubles … shot 52 percent from the field … shot 37 percent from beyond the arc … scored in double figures 17 times, including eight of the final nine games. 2009-10: Appeared in 17 games … made three starts … made his first collegiate start against Nazareth … scored a career-best eight points on 4-of-4 shooting to go along with a personal best six boards in an 89-87 overtime win over Nazareth … matched his career high with eight points in the season-ending 91-75 win over Stevens … averaged 3.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per game … had five rebounds and three assists in a 69-49 win over Alfred. 2008-09: Appeared in 13 games … scored a season-best four points in his first two collegiate games, against St. Joseph’s and Thomas … hit 3-pointers against Elmira and St. John Fisher … grabbed three rebounds against Hartwick and Ithaca … averaged 1.5 points and 1.2 rebounds per game … had two steals in a win over Stevens … played a season-best 10 minutes in a win over Alfred. Before RIT: Played two years of varsity basketball at Island Trees High School for Head Coach Tom Beirlein … senior captain … two-time team MVP … averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists per game … two-time All-Nassau County selection … 2008 ABC Conference Player of the Year … named to the Long Island Top-20 team in 2008 … scored a career-high 44 points in a game as a senior … also was a standout track and field star in the high jump.

Personal: Electrical engineering major … son of Peggy Bauer and George Heisig.

Coach McVean says: "Justin is coming off an outstanding junior season, raising his game a level in all different aspects.  He worked extremely hard in the offseason to take his game to an even higher level.  We want to move him to the three to maximize his scoring and rebounding abilities."
