Before RIT: Played three years of varsity basketball at Vernon-Verona-Sherill for Head Coach Al Knapp … senior captain … earned All-Tri Valley League honorable mention accolades … led squad to Tri Valley League title in 2006 and 2007 … averaged 8.6 points, 5.6 rebounds per game and blocked 88 shots as a senior … second all-time at VVS with 167 career blocks.
Personal: Business major … son of Karen and Jim Rizzo.
Coach McVean says: “Nate is a very agile, versatile big man, who we feel is going to get better and better as the season moves on. He has excellent feet with outstanding range, especially rebounding and shot blocking. Nate needs to get stronger and may become as good as he wants to be.”
