Biography

2006-07: Battled through nagging injuries to play in 26 games … made eight starts … fourth on the team in rebounding (3.6 per game) … grabbed a career-best 11 rebounds and added six points in an 82-76 win over Nazareth … scored 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting and snatched six boards in a 69-60 victory over Nazareth … had three blocks against St. John Fisher … recorded a career-best four steals in a 77-64 win at Alfred … scored in 15 games.

2005-06: Played a vital role at the center position … shot 58.5 percent from the field, second best on the team … scored a career-high 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting in a double-overtime win over Nazareth … nabbed eight rebounds in each of his first two collegiate games, against Hobart and MCLA … scored seven points and blocked two shots in a win over Nazareth … made his first collegiate start against SUNY Geneseo. Before RIT: Averaged 11 points and nine rebounds per game as a senior playing for Head Coach Don Catallier at Voorheesville … was named the Section II Tournament MVP as a senior … Colonial Council First-Team All-Star … named Voorheesville MVP as a junior.

Coach McVean says: “Mark realizes his opportunity this season at the post position with the loss of Tim Bacon. He has trimmed down during the off-season and spent his time improving his offensive game.”
