ITHACA, N.Y. – RIT junior attack
Erich Acton scored two goals and added two assists in the No. 6 Tigers 9-8 loss at Ithaca, Wednesday.

Ethan Harkins scored two goals and sophomore midfielder
Ryan Bullock and junior midfielder
David Charney each tallied a goal and an assist. First year face-off specialist
Philip Minardo won 11 draws and had nine ground balls. Senior goalie
Alex Zborowski made 15 saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Acton gave RIT a 1-0 lead on his goal with five minutes remaining in the first quarter.
- Harkins scored with 4:12 to play in the opening frame to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead.
- Ithaca's Tim Rogers scored late in the quarter to cut RIT's lead to 2-1.
- Rogers tied the game 2-2 on his goal midway through the second quarter.
- Senior attack Tyson Allison scored to give RIT a 3-2 lead before Acton scored to extend the Tiger's lead to 4-2.
- Will Kleine scored to make it 4-3 and Harkins scored with 4:44 to play in the half to give RIT a 5-3 lead.
- Ithaca scored three goals in the final 3:30 of the quarter, taking a 6-5 lead on Jack Giannuzzi's goal with 53 seconds remaining in the half.
- Bullock scored off an assist from sophomore midfielder James Corry midway through the third quarter to tie the game at 6-6.
- Charney scored to give the Tigers a 7-6 lead and first year attack Brayden Kuczma scored with seven seconds remaining in the third to give RIT an 8-6 lead.
- Brendan Occhino scored with 9:20 remaining in the fourth quarter to cut RIT's lead to 8-7.
- Ethan Adrid tied the game 8-8 on his goal with 8:23 to play in regulation.
- RIT had a chance to tie the game with 46 seconds remaining but turned the ball over.
- Cullen Adams scored the go-ahead goal with 5:22 remaining to give the Bombers a 9-8 lead.
- Ithaca cleared the ball and ran out the clock
GAME NOTES:
- Ithaca outshot RIT 36-35.
- The Tigers went 19-of-23 on clearing attempts and won 11-of-21 faceoffs.
- RIT caused six turnovers and had 27 ground balls.
- It is RIT's first loss to Ithaca since 2016.
