ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Two RIT student-athletes were honored by the Liberty League with weekly honors announced by the conference, Monday (April 6). Senior Jackson Rusiecki was named Baseball Performer of the Week and sophomore Owen Fisher earned Pitcher of the Week honors.
 
Rusiecki went 10-for-16 (.625) with six runs scored and five RBI while batting at the top of the order to help RIT sweep a weekend series against Ithaca. Friday, Rusiecki finished with two hits, including a home run and a double, driving in three runs and scoring twice. In the first game on Saturday, he went 3-for-6 with two runs scored and one RBI before closing the series out by going 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, and two runs scored.
 
Fisher worked seven innings of scoreless relief in Saturday's doubleheader finale against Ithaca. The right-hander allowed three hits while striking out seven and issuing four walks in the win to help RIT complete the series sweep.
