Rulle leads Team Latvia at IIHF World Championship

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT junior forward Linda Rulle led Team Latvia to a pair of wins and a fifth-place finish at the 2026 IIHF Division I Group B Women's World Championship in Puigcerda, Spain.
 
Rulle led Latvia and finished second in scoring at the championships, tallying eight points on four goals and four assists.  She tallied a goal and two assists in Latvia's 3-2 win over Kazakhstan (April 12). Her goal in the shootout proved to be the game-winning goal.
 
Rulle scored two goals and added an assist in Latvia's 7-6 loss to Korea (April 13) and scored the game-winning goal in a 4-3 overtime win over Great Britain (April 15). Rulle scored a goal and added an assist in Latvia's 6-3 loss to the Netherlands (April 18).
 
Rulle played in 34 games for RIT in 2025-26. She finished fifth on the team with 21 points on 11 goals and eight assists.
