ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT scored four runs in the third inning and four more in the eighth to earn a 10–3 win over Oswego at the RIT Baseball Complex, Wednesday afternoon.
The Tigers got multi‑hit efforts from
Trent Rapp,
Max Matteucci,
Jarin Moses, and
Jackson Rusiecki, while the pitching trio of
Sly Cash,
Dylan Joseph, and
Joseph Wozny combined to allow just three runs with 10 strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego took a 1–0 lead in the second, but Rapp, Rusiecki, Brady Majchrowicz, and Moses keyed a four‑run RIT third, highlighted by Rusiecki's two‑run triple to right‑center.
- Rapp homered to left‑center in the fourth to make it a 5–1 Tigers lead.
- The visiting Lakers cut the lead to 5–3 with two runs in the seventh before RIT responded with a four‑run eighth that included a two‑run single by Matteucci, an RBI single from Charlie Slaymaker, and a sacrifice fly from Isaac Braegelmann.
- Cash earned the win after working 3.0 innings, allowing one run and striking out four.
- Wozny worked the final 3.0 innings for the save, allowing no runs and striking out three.
GAME NOTES
