ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's hockey team will play a pair of Atlantic Hockey America games against Syracuse this weekend. The Tigers will play at the Tennity Ice Pavillion on Friday (Feb. 6) at 6:00 p.m. and at the Gene Polisseni Center on Saturday (Jan. 7) at 3:00 p.m.

RIT enters the weekend fourth in the Atlantic Hockey America standings with a 9-11-0 conference record and 29 points. RIT is one point behind Lindenwood in third and one point ahead of Syracuse in fifth.
The Tigers average 3.0 goals per game and allow 2.5 goals per contest. The Tigers are 30-of-97 (30.9%) on the power play and 79-of-102 (77.4%) on the penalty kill. RIT has won 827-of-1,663 (49.7%) of its faceoffs and blocked 427 shots.

Bellina is 12-13 with a 2.56 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage, while McNamara is 2-2 with a 1.48 goals-against average and a .949 save percentage.
ABOUT SYRACUSE:
Syracuse enters the weekend fifth in the AHA standings with a 9-9-2 conference record and 28 points. The Orange split a pair of conference games against Lindenwood on Jan. 23-24, winning 2-1 on Friday and losing 4-0 win the following day. Junior forward

Jordan Blouin tallied the game-winner at 8:33 of the third. First year goalie
Ava Drabyk finished with 29 saves. She made 30 saves in Saturday's loss.
Syracuse enters the weekend sixth in the AHA averaging 1.90 goals per game and fourth allowing 2.63 goals per contest. The Orange are sixth converting 13-of-103 (.126 percent) of their power play chances and fourth killing off 83-of-106 (78.3%) of their penalties. Syracuse is fifth in the league winning 827-of-1,663 face offs (48.0%) and fourth averaging 14.63 blocked shots per game.

Emma Gnade leads Syracuse in scoring with 17 points, eight goals and nine assists. Junior forward

Sami Gendron leads the team and is tied for fourth in the AHA with 68 blocked shots. Sophomore defender
Jessica Cheung is second on the team with 48 blocked shots and sophomore defender
Celia Wiegand is third with 47 blocks.
Drabyk is 11-13-3 and is third in the AHA with a 2.18 goals-against average, second with a .929 save percentage and fourth averaging 27.59 saves per game.
RIT VS. SYRACUSE:
Syracuse is 37-16-4 all-time against RIT. The two teams split a pair of games on Oct. 24-25. Armstrong scored a goal and had three assists to lead the Orange to a 5-2 win in Rochester on Oct. 24. Rulle scored a goal and an assist in RIT's 4-1 win the following day in Syracuse.
