Erich Acton tallied two goals and two assists in the No. 4 Tigers 16-12 loss to No. 20 Babson, Saturday.

Ryan Sanders finished with a goal and two assists and senior
Ethan Harkins tallied a goal and an assist.
First-year
Philip Minardo won 8-of-18 draws and had seven ground balls. Senior
Ethan Spillane won 7-of-14 faceoffs and had two ground balls. Junior
Joe Holenstein caused four turnovers and had four ground balls and senior goalie
Alex Zborowski made 13 saves in net.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Patrick McAleavey scored 59 seconds into the game to give Babson a 1-0 lead.
- Bullock tied the game at 1-1 on his unassisted goal.
- Braden Reilly scored a man-up goal to give the Beavers a 2-1 lead.
- Lyon scored with 9:20 to play in the first quarter to tie the score 2-2.
- Joey Allen scored two straight goals to give Babson a 4-2 lead and Lyon tallied his second goal of the quarter with 36 second remaining that cut Babson's lead to 4-3.
- Bullock scored early in the second quarter to tie the game at 4-4.
- Babson ran off three straight goals, taking a 7-4 lead on Jack Feeks' goal with 10:03 remaining in the first half.
- First year Ewen Patrick cut Babson's lead to 7-5 on his goal with 9:12 remaining followed by a Camden Matthews goal midway through the quarter to give Babson an 8-5 lead.
- Acton scored off an assist from Harkins to make it 8-6 and Matthews scored with 4:13 to play to give the Beavers a 9-6 lead at halftime.
- McAleavey opened the second half scoring with a goal with 12:44 to play in the third to extend Babson's lead to 10-6.
- Sanders cut Babson's lead to 10-7 on his goal with 11:03 to play in the third quarter.
- Allen and Matthews scored back-to-back goals for the Beavers to extend its lead to 12-7 with 6:25 to play in the third.
- First year Anthony DeRosa scored to cut Babson's lead to 12-8, but Babson ran off two straight goals, taking a 14-8 lead on Allen's goal with 2:11 to play in the third.
- Senior Cole Teeple scored early in the fourth quarter to cut the Beaver's lead to 14-9.
- Sam Sisk scored to give Babson a 15-9 lead before Acton scored off an assist from Sanders to make it a five-goal deficit.
- Grayson Amrosh gave Babson a 16-10 lead on his goal with 8:29 to play in regulation.
- Harkins scored with 3:08 to play and junior David Charney scored with 30 seconds to play to make it a 16-12 final.
GAME NOTES:
- RIT outshot Babson 53-45.
- The Tigers went 17-of-20 on clearing attempts and 0-for-1 on man-up.
- RIT won 15-of-32 faceoffs.
