Josiah Turner led the Tigers with 19 points. RIT trailed 30–29 at halftime but was outscored 35–24 in the second half.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Turner opened the scoring for RIT with an early three-pointer, finishing with 11 first-half points.
- Danny Cohen, a sophomore guard, tied the game at 16–16 with a three at 5:54 of the first half.
- The Tigers closed the first half on a 6–0 run, capped by first-year forward Nigel Pierman's fast‑break layup and free throw with one second left to pull within one at the break (30–29).
- The Engineers used an 8–0 run early in the second half to extend its advantage to 37–29.
- Turner's layup with 6:42 remaining cut the deficit to 58–40 before RIT mounted a late push.
- Brown converted a three-point play and later hit a three to help RIT pull within 62–50 with 3:00 left.
- Turner's final three-pointer with 1:42 remaining brought RIT to 64–53.
GAME NOTES
- Turner finished 7-of-18 shooting, including 4-of-8 from three, and grabbed six rebounds.
- Brown finished with eight points, three assists, two steals, and a block.
- Cohen added seven points off the bench on 2-of-3 shooting.
- RIT forced 13 RPI turnovers and scored 16 points off those miscues.
- The Tigers' bench contributed 20 points.
- RIT is now 5–17 overall and 2–13 in Liberty League play.
