CANTON, N.Y. – The RIT Women's Volleyball team split a tri-match at St. Lawrence, Saturday, following up a 3-0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-20) Liberty League setback to the Saints with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-14) victory over Potsdam.

- Trailing, 6-5 early in the first, RIT rode an 8-3 run to a 12-9 lead. The Saints bounced back with a 9-3 surge for an 18-15 lead and later scored six-unanswered points to close the set.
- St. Lawrence opened an early 12-5 lead in the second before putting together a 7-1 run for a decisive 19-6 lead en route to winning the set.
- The Saints scored the first 10 points of the third set, but the Tigers used a 10-5 surge to pull within five, 15-10. St Lawrence scored seven of the next nine points for a 22-12 lead, but RIT notched five-straight points to trail 22-17. RIT later fought off three match points to get back within four, 24-20, before St. Lawrence completed the sweep.

- Potsdam opened a 14-6 lead in the first before RIT bounced back with a 14-2 run for a 20-16 lead. The Bears scored the next three points, but the Tigers scored five-unanswered to close opening win.
- RIT opened a 13-5 lead to start the second and later scored nine of the final 12 points to cruise to a 2-0 lead.
- In the third, the Tigers scored a 4-0 run to open a 12-5 lead. Later leading, 19-9, RIT closed the match with a 6-5 run to complete the sweep.

RIT travels to Nazareth for a tri-match next Saturday (Oct. 10), taking on Russell Sage at 1:00 p.m. and the host Golden Flyers at 3:00 p.m.
