ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's hockey team returns to action with a pair of games at Delaware on Thursday and Friday (Jan. 8-9). Both games will be played at the Fred Rust Ice Arena with Thursday's game beginning at 6:00 p.m. and Friday facing off at 2:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT:
RIT swept a pair of games against Delaware on December 5-6, winning 5-2 on Friday followed by a 4-2 win the following day. Junior defender

Brac Kelley each scored two goals in Friday's win over the Fighting Blue Hens. Sophomore forward
Kailey Favro had two assists and sophomore forward
Zoe Ziotas finished with a goal and an assist. Senior goalie
Sophia Bellina made 11 saves in net.
Saturday, junior forward
Addie Alvarez had a goal and an assist, while Favro and Pickering each had two assists. Bellina made 15 saves to earn the win.
ABOUT RIT:
RIT enters the weekend third in the Atlantic Hockey America standings with a 7-7-0 conference record and 22 points. RIT is four points behind Mercyhurst in second place, and one point ahead of Robert Morris who is fourth with 21 points.
The Tigers average 2.9 goals per game and allow 2.4 goals per contest. The Tigers are 27-of-79 (34.2%) on the power play and 65-of-79 (82.3%) on the penalty kill. RIT has won 625-of-1,243 (50.3%) of its faceoffs and blocked 319 shots.
RIT features six players with six or more goals and eight players with 10 or more points. Alvarez leads the team with 22 points and eight assists. Pickering is second on the team with 21 points and is tied with Alvarez for first on the team with 14 assists. Favro is third on the team with 15 points and is second with 13 assists. Madison Buziak are tied for fourth with 28 blocks each.
Bellina is 9-10 with a 2.43 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage. Sophomore
Brenna McNamara is 2-1 with a 1.32 goals-against average and a .948 save percentage.
ABOUT DELAWARE:
Delaware enters the weekend seventh in the Atlantic Hockey America standings with a 1-13-0 conference record and five points. The Blue Hens lost a pair of conference games at Syracuse last weekend, losing 3-1 on Friday and 4-0 the following day. Graduate student forward

Delaware enters the weekend seventh in Atlantic Hockey averaging 1.00 goal per game and seventh allowing 3.95 goals per contest. The Blue Hens are seventh in the AHA converting 4-of-79 (.051 percent) of their power play chances and fourth killing off 53-of-67 (79.1%) of their penalties. Delaware has won 520-of-1,291 face offs (40.3%) and leads the AHA averaging 24.23 blocked shots per game.
Finnegan leads Delaware with nine points on six goals and three assists. First year forward
Katelynn Charlton is second on the team with seven points on four goals and three assists, while senior defender Tiana McIntyre is third with six points and lead Delaware with four assists. First year forward

First year defender Lexie Lonask leads the AHA with 93 blocked shots. Bailey Gray is fourth in the league with 57 blocks and Finnegan is fifth with 52 blocked shots.
Payne is 2-9-0 with a 3.58 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage. She is second in the league averaging 39.58 saves per game. Robitzer has a 3.97 GAA and a .916 save percentage and leads the AHA averaging 40.55 saves per contest.
