ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT senior forward Austin Brimmer was named the Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) Player of the Week, Tuesday.

Brimmer led the AHA in scoring last week, logging back-to-back multi-point games during RIT's home-and-home series versus Niagara. He started with a goal and an assist in Friday's 4-2 victory as the Tigers won at Niagara for the first time since 2018. He then logged two assists to help the Tigers come back for a 3-3 tie on Saturday that ended in a shootout victory.

Brimmer currently sits third on the team with 18 points, tied for second with 11 goals and tied for third with seven goals. He rides a three-game scoring streak into this weekend's AHA road doubleheader at Mercyhurst, scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. faceoff on Friday (Jan. 30) and a 5:05 p.m. start on Saturday (Jan. 31).
