ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Two RIT student-athletes were honored by the Liberty League with weekly honors announced by the league, Monday. Sophomore Josh Berty was named the Men's Swimmer of the Week and junior Luke Albanese was named the Men's Diver of the Week.
 
Berty recorded a pair of pool records in RIT's home dual meet against No. 15 Geneseo last week. In the 1,650 Free, the sophomore won the event with a time of 16:14.80, nearly ten seconds faster than the second-place finisher. Berty also won the 500 Free in a time of 4:39.22, nearly five seconds faster than the next swimmer. He also placed second in the 200 Free (1:44.29). 
 
Albanese set a pair of program records in a home dual meet against No. 15 Geneseo over the weekend. Albanese surpassed his previous record-setting mark at the 3M height from last week with a score of 601.50 to finish second in the event. He won the 1M event with a program-best 561.65.
