ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The No. 20 RIT wrestling team went 1-1 at the Tiger Duals on Senior Day, Saturday. The Tigers beat New Jersey City 39-8 and lost 23-18 to John Carroll.
 
Senior Lee Rubin picked up a forfeit win at 125 lb. to begin the match against New Jersey City. Senior Michael Glynn III, ranked No. 7 at 149 lb., won an 8-0 major decision over Zack Vera. Sophomore Jared Lee defeated Michael Gross, 17-4 at 157 lb. and junior Dara Heydarpour defeated Fabian Acuna, 14-3.
 
First year Jack Lamson defeated Diego Viera with an 18-2 technical fall at 174 lb. and first year Ronald Dietz beat Jayden Reyes 15-5 at 197 lb. Junior Josh Harkless, ranked No. 3 at 285 lb., pinned Walter Thomas 35 seconds into his match to seal the 39-8 victory.
 
Against John Carroll, Glynn pinned Vananthony Trunzo 56 seconds into their match at 149 lb., while Lee was an 8-5 winner over Ryan Forrest at 157 lb. Lamson was a 14-6 winner over Frank Gallo at 165 lb. and Harkless pinned Thomas Lunt 49 seconds into their match at 285 lb.  
 
RIT returns to action on Saturday (Feb. 15) at the Oneonta Duals at 11:00 a.m.
