Women's Hockey to play a pair of games at No. 13 Colgate

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's hockey team hits the road for a pair of non-conference games at No. 13 Colgate on Friday and Saturday (Nov. 7-8). Friday's game at the Class of 1965 Arena begins at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday's game will start at 3:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT:
RIT split a pair of games against Lindenwood last weekend, losing 3-0 on Friday followed by a 7-1 win the following day. Senior goalie Sophia Bellina made 19 saves in Friday's loss.
 
Saturday, junior forward Addie Alvarez recorded her first collegiate hat trick. Junior defender Emma Pickering handed out a career-high three assists and junior forward Linda Rulle had a career-best three points and two assists. Sophomore forward Zoe Ziotas and sophomore defender Madison Buziak each scored their first collegiate goals. Sophomore goalie Brenna McNamara recorded a career-high 29 saves in goal.
 
ABOUT RIT:
RIT enters the weekend second in the Atlantic Hockey America standings with a 3-3-0 conference record and 10 points. The Tigers average 3.0 goals per game and allow 2.0 goals per contest. The Tigers are 15-of-47 (31.9%) on the power play and 33-of-39 (84.6%) on the penalty kill. RIT has won 351-of-649 (54.1%) of its faceoffs and blocked 166 shots.
 
RIT features seven players with three or more goals and 11 players with four or more points. Alvarez leads the team with 11 points on seven goals and four assists. Rulle is second on the team with nine points (5g, 4a) and Pickering (1g, 7a) and sophomore forwards Brac Kelley (3g, 5a) and Kailey Favro (2g, 6a) are tied for third with eight points each. Senior forward Jaidan Fahrny is sixth on the team with seven points (1g, 6a).
 
Pickering leads the team with 29 blocked shots and first year defender Riley Gramlich is second with 18 blocks. Buziak is third on the team with 17 blocked shots, and first year defender Laura Dyke is fourth with 15 blocks.
 
Bellina is 4-5 with a 1.96 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage, while McNamara is 2-1 with a 1.22 goals-against average and a .947 save percentage.
