Women's Hockey loses 3-2 at Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – RIT junior defensewoman Emma Pickering and senior defensewoman Kyla Bear each scored in the Tigers 3-2 loss at Syracuse in Atlantic Hockey America action, Saturday.
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Heidi Knoll scored at 7:54 of the first period to give Syracuse a 1-0 lead.
  • Sami Gendron gave the Orange a 2-0 lead on her goal at 15:35.
  • Graduate student forward Nicole Ness fired five shots on net in the opening frame.
  • Charli Kettyle scored at 15:22 of the second period to increase Syracuse's lead to 3-0.
  • Pickering scored a power play goal at 5:37 of the third period to cut Syracuse's lead to 3-1.
  • Bear made it a one-goal game on her goal at 9:50 of the third to cut the deficit to 3-2.
 
GAME NOTES
  • RIT outshot Syracuse 34-29
  • The Tigers went 1-for-1 on the power play, while the Orange were 0-for-3
