Women's Lacrosse shuts out Bard, 19-0

ANNONDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – RIT senior Carrissa Hlywa and sophomore Serafina Kiselgof each scored four goals to lead the Tigers to a 19-0 win at Bard, Friday.
 
Hlywa tied her career-high with four goal, adding two assists, while Kiselgof finished with five points (4g, 1a). Sophomore attack Adele Jones tallied a goal and two assists, while junior midfielder Lily DePalma and sophomore middie Kate Trojan each scored two goals.
 
First-year defender Katherine Killian won six draw controls, caused five turnovers, scooped up four ground balls and scored her first collegiate goal.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Trojan scored two of the Tiger's five first-quarter goals and Kiselgof tallied a goal and an assist in the frame.
  • Hlywa scored two goals and added an assist and Kiselgof scored two goals in the second quarter. DePalma, Jones, Killian and first-year attack Emma Ripley each scored. Ripley's goal with 1:27 to play in the half gave the Tigers a 13-0 lead at halftime.
  • Five different Tigers scored in the third quarter, including sophomore midfielder Morgan Nichter, sophomore attack Jenna Bovenzi and first-year midfielder Sarah Hallinan.
  • Hlywa scored with 33 seconds to play in the fourth quarter to make it a 19-0 final.
 
GAME NOTES:
  • RIT outshot Bard, 27-2.
  • Sophomore goalie Ellie Ruddy made two saves in net to improve to 5-4 on the season.
  • The Tigers won 18-of-22 draw controls and were 4-for-4 on clearing attempts.
