ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT first-year Bryson Vaughn was named the SUNYAC Rookie Wrestler of the Week for the third time this season, Monday.

Vaughn won the 141 lb. weight class at the Mideast Futures, Sunday. Vaughn beat Ryan Mansueto with a technical fall in his opening match. He defeated Joey Coppola with a 15-0 technical fall and pinned Shane Walczyk with a pin at 6:25 in the semifinal and defeated sophomore Isaiah Shafer, 6-5 to win the title.

RIT returns to action on Friday (March 1) at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championship at 10:00 a.m.
