Women’s Soccer Falls at No. 20 Rochester, 1-0

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's soccer team fell to nationally-ranked Rochester, 1-0, Tuesday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Tigers managed to keep Rochester off the scoreboard until the 80th minute when Maya Bravo sent a 30-yard shot from the left side past senior goalkeeper Emily Sanchez
  • RIT put pressure on the Yellowjackets in the second half with nine shots but were unable to find the back of the net.
 
GAME NOTES
  • RIT out-shot the Yellowjackets 12 to 5, putting five shots on goal to Rochester's three.
  • Junior goalkeeper Emily Sanchez made two saves in the loss.
  • Junior forward Elena Onodera led RIT with four shots, including two shots on goal.
  • The Tigers held the advantage in corner kicks, 5 to 3.
