Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women’s Soccer Downs Bard, 7-0

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior midfielder Olivia Harris scored twice as the women's soccer team earned their first Liberty League win of the season with a 7-0 win against Bard, Saturday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Harris scored the first two goals of the game in 5th and 9th minute of action.
  • Senior forward Rachel Marriott found the back of the net in the 16th minute, which was assisted by junior forward Elan Onodera.
  • First-year forward Eli Gonzalez scored her first goal of the season in the 28h minute to give RIT a 4-0 advantage.
  • Valeria Luzio tacked on the fifth goal of the half in the 34th minute off a pass from sophomore defender Nicole Joffe.
  • RIT added two more goals in the second half with goals coming from sophomore defender Sidona Hackl-Gerenstien in the 46th minute and first-year defender Daniella Malanga in the 61st minute. Both goals were their first of the season.
 
GAME NOTES
  • With the two goals, Harris now has 15 points (5 goals, 5 assists) through 10 games. Only Onodera has more points 16 (5 goals, 6 assists).
  • Junior goalkeeper Emily Sanchez earned her fourth win of the season, making one save.
  • The seven-goal output the most in a single game this season. Their previous best with six goals in a 6-1 against Mount Saint Mary (NY) on August 31st.
  • The Tigers are now 1-1-1 in league play and improve to 5-2-3 overall.
