Women’s Soccer Defeats Nazareth, 4-1

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT women's soccer scored four first-half goals to earn a 4-1 win over Nazareth, Tuesday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Junior forward Elena Onodera put RIT on the board first, scoring for the Tigers in the 9th minute.
  • Three minutes before Marriott scored, her second of the season, to make it a quick 2-0 lead.
  • In the 28th minute, Olivia Harris would find the back of the net with an assist Jessie Gomez.
  • First-year midfielder Emma Watson scored her first career goal for the Tigers in the 43rd minute to round out the scoring for RIT.
  • Nazareth's Haley Glassman put the Golden Flyers on the board with a goal in the 56th minute.
 
GAME NOTES
  • With the goal, Onodera has a team-high 14 points (5 goals, 4 assists) through nine games this season.
  • Harris had three assists in the win and leads the team this season with five assists.  
  • RIT out-shot Nazareth 13 to 6, putting seven shots on goal.
