Women's Hockey falls 3-2 in OT at Lindenwood

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO – RIT juniors Kylie Aquaro and Kyla Bear each scored in the Tigers 3-2 overtime loss at Lindenwood, Saturday.
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Lindenwood's Quinn McLaren scored a power play goal seven minutes into the first period to give the Lions the lead, while Morgan Nietzke made it 2-0 on her even-strength goal one minute later.
  • Aquaro scored a power play goal 4:39 into the second period off an assist from sophomore forward Jaidan Fahrny to make it 2-1.
  • Bear tied the game at 2-2 on her power play goal from first year defensewoman Emma Pickering at 9:48 of the period.
  • Sophomore goaltender Sophia Bellina made nine saves in a scoreless third period, while the Tigers fired 10 shots on goal in the frame.
  • Lindenwood's Sarah Davies scored 1:30 into the overtime to make it a 3-2 final.
